Breaches: what fails an account

What happens when a limit is touched.

An evaluation or funded account fails when its equity touches either floor:

  • the max drawdown floor;
  • the daily loss floor, if the account has a daily loss limit.

Rules are checked live, around the clock, within about a second of every price move while you have open positions. A breach takes effect immediately: open positions are closed, trading on the account is switched off and you get an email with the equity at the moment of the breach.

A failed account can't be reinstated, and its fee isn't refunded. Its history stays in your dashboard. You can buy a new evaluation at any time.

An account is also closed if it goes too long without an executed trade (see the inactivity rule in Account limits), or for breaking the restrictions in Prohibited trading.
