Profit target and passing
What happens when your evaluation reaches its target.
Each evaluation has a profit target, a % of the starting balance. You pass when your equity reaches it without breaching any rule. There's no time limit and no minimum number of trading days.
When equity touches the target, any open positions are closed straight away. If the closed balance is still at or above the target, the evaluation passes. If prices moved while closing and the balance ends just below it, trading carries on and the next touch tries again.
When you pass:
- a funded account at the same level, size and daily loss limit is created on VOID automatically, usually within a minute;
- you get an email and a funded certificate in your dashboard;
- the funded account has no profit target. It follows the same drawdown and daily loss rules as your evaluation.
If the funded account would take your total funded allocation over $300K, it goes into funding review instead. See Account limits.
