Daily loss limit
How the optional daily limit is measured and when it resets.
The daily loss limit is optional. You choose it at checkout, from 1% up to just under your level's max drawdown, in exchange for a lower price. Accounts without one have no daily limit at all.
How it's measured
- The limit is a % of your starting balance, not of today's balance. A 2% limit on a $25K account is $500 a day.
- Each day is measured from a reference: the higher of your balance and your equity at 00:00 UTC.
- Your daily floor is that reference minus the limit. If equity touches it, the account fails.
For example, a $25K account with a 2% limit ends the day with balance $25,400 and equity $25,600 (a position is in profit). Tomorrow's reference is $25,600, so the daily floor is $25,100.
When it resets
Every day at 00:00 UTC. Your account page in the dashboard shows how much room you have left today.
Because the reference includes open profit at 00:00 UTC, a winning position held over the reset raises the bar for the next day. If that profit disappears, it counts against your daily limit.
