Prohibited trading
Strategies and practices that aren't allowed.
Evaluations measure your own trading skill. Any of the following breaks the Terms of Use and can fail an account, cancel payouts or close your accounts:
- exploiting latency, stale or delayed prices, pricing errors, outages or any other technical fault;
- trading on a price or balance you know is wrong instead of reporting it;
- hedging, mirroring or coordinating trades across your own accounts, other people's accounts or other firms;
- letting anyone else trade your account, or using an account-passing service;
- copy-trading, signal or account-management services that hand control of your account to someone else;
- wash trading, collusion, or position sizing no real trader would use, to exploit the simulated environment;
- automation that overloads the platform, gains a latency edge or evades its controls;
- getting around any rule, risk limit, identity check or payout condition.
What is allowed
- Holding positions overnight and over weekends.
- Trading the news on evaluations, including during major releases.
- Connecting your own AI agent or software through VOID Trader's official API and MCP server, within its limits. See AI agents.
News on funded accounts
On a funded account, you can't open or close a position, or have a pending order fill, from 10 minutes before to 10 minutes after a high-impact (red folder) news event, on the instruments that event affects. For example, a US CPI release affects US stock and index markets and USD markets. Positions opened before the window can stay open through it, including their stop loss and take profit.
Profit from trades made inside the window can be removed from your results when a payout is reviewed. Evaluations have no news restriction.
We review accounts in good faith using trading, device and identity evidence. If we find a breach, we may treat the account as failed, remove the affected trades from your results and cancel pending payouts. The full wording is in section 10 of the Terms of Use.
